ddavid 149
Just a suggestion - borrowed from IVAO : http://forum.ivao.aero/index.php/topic,61422.0.html Here's an opportunity to post those odd but interesting screen-shots we all come across when 'flying'. And to start off - this is Mount Kilimanjaro in Kenya (in FSX), just off the flight path between Dar-e-Salaam (Tanzania) and Nairobi: What do you think, messrs Moderators? (Please edit/start a new thread if necessary). I'll think about it, Hmmm....OK! Cheers - Dai. :?:
mutley 4,498
I like it Dai, I will stick you up. Expect loads from me, "Random" is my middle name ! Cheers
allardjd 1,853
Two of my favorite topics... Just happened to be departing Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on a long Cargo Pilot Flight. Arrived there in the dark and didn't see this. Site is infamous for the 1979 partial meltdown that destroyed one unit but injured no one - US' worst commercial nuclear accident. The other unit has continued in normal operation since.
mutley 4,498
Wow, I'm not too young to remember that John, the TMI2 partial meltdown was big news over here although we don't have any PWR's but they do in France  Nice picture. Cheers
mutley 4,498
UFO chasing out of Kennedy AFB (KEDW) Part of a FSX X Pack mission, F-18 in NASA livery.
allardjd 1,853
If he (she? it?) can engage the hyper-drive, the F-18 doesn't have a chance. John
mutley 4,498
Top speed I've seen it go is 800mph John, must have had battery back-up problems  I also came across the mothership ready to nuke KEDW : Don't worry John, I stopped them flattening CA (Or should I have let them!) Cheers
Magic Man 0
They are not from the Acceleration expansion pack, which isn't out yet...? EDIT: I see from the other thread that they are... how'd you get that early then... :sadblinky:
mutley 4,498
They released the RTM download to Beta Testers about a week ago  Should be in the shops in under 2 weeks. Here are some of the new KEDW in daylight. KADW Andrews AFB Nothing special but the helo is nice! Cheers Cheers
Martyn 9
Edwards AFB is looking very nice in the Acceleration pack. I spent many an hour buzzing around and doing touch and goes on the desert runways
allardjd 1,853
This shot was taken ten minutes after making a visual approach and landing in fairly poor visibility, but not THIS bad. Field is LFBM, Mont-de-Marsan in SW France, an air base. All was with RW weather. Timing is everything! It looks like autoland weather. This is the end of a 3,300 NM, 9 hour Cargo Pilot flight from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The load included... Perfume Pianos Fur Clothing Wine Living Animals Flowers Cosmetics & Toiletries ...among other things. Those French aviators must really know how to party!
mutley 4,498
It has been foggy here too John in the mornings so I can vouch for the weather. I hope the flight was profitable Cheers
dgor 0
Speaking of profitable flights... A Skylines Airbus A320 holding short of runway 17 at Cork, waiting for a Grumman doing circuits to do a touch and go: And climbing through 8,000ft on the way to the CML NDB, on the way back to Belfast Intl. Ludo62 0
Some nice shots posted guys. Here's one I thought was kind of nice, It is a screenshot I took in 2005 of Kirk's F-16 over the Mediterranean Sea. I thought back then that it was a great angle. allardjd 1,853
Isn't it amazing how much stuff they can hang on one of those things and still make it fly? Great shot. John

Ludo62 0
Thats a spectacular shot, mutley :eyebrow: . I like the shine on the canopy   . Ludo :eyebrow:
mutley 4,498
Yes it is shiny! the reason for that is it was edited out of another shot and the only way to make it blend was to shoot with clear blue sky which is why you can see a thin blue line around the fuselage. :blush Using FS Recorder would have taken too much time and flying skills! Cheers
Ludo62 0
Sorry for posting again, but I thought this was kind of a nice shot. I liked it because of the pilots face. Ludo
