dodgy-alan 1,587
Apparently there IS one for FS made by Lionheart Creations. for FS2004, there is also one for FS98 which is freeware.

dodgy-alan 1,587
Lun Ekranoplan
Torpedo Air Cargo 0
I think Alan's right. There's only one beast with such an impressive battery of jet engines. It's the Ekranoplan, better known as "The Caspian Seas Monster" in the West.
allardjd 1,853
That's correct.... John

dodgy-alan 1,587
Ok Guys try this one, You may get the identity fairly easily, (full name if you can as it is important)but what was unique about it?
allardjd 1,853
It looks a lot like a Ju-87 Stuka, but there are some things that don't match up - 2-bladed prop and those radiator shutters, mainly. John
dodgy-alan 1,587
getting very warm, but as I said, its a bit different.
allardjd 1,853
OK, I found the exact image you used in your post in one of my reference books. Same guy on the wing with the fuel cans and all. It's captioned, "The Kestrel-engined Ju 87 V1 after introduction of a larger radiator bath." John EDIT: The Kestrel, of course, was a R-R engine. dodgy-alan 1,587
That would be the one John, It is the V1 with the Rolls Royce Kestrel engine ! Thats right folks , one of the most feared aircraft of WW2 started life with a British Engine! If only we'd known! (We did the same thing in the early 50s when we supplied the Russians with a load of Rolls Royce Nenes!.....and they reverse engineered them to fit in the Mig 15 ! We'll never learn!) Over to you John.
allardjd 1,853
I jumped the gun - don't think I should have been eligible since I had the last one. Since I jumped in anyway, here's the next one. John

dodgy-alan 1,587
The Flying suitcase, Handley Page Hampden, or if it had Napier Dagger engines, the Hereford. what threw me at first was the fact that the yoke is completely inverted! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v369/RedToo/Hampden-Office.jpg
allardjd 1,853
Looks like a Spitfire control stick - maybe. John
