I get to live my dream!

Recommended Posts

As of July 11, my wife and I will no longer be Colorado residents. Ever since I was a little kid, I have dreamed of being a pilot. Some time back, I was snooping around on ATP training websites and came across a school in AZ. I requested some more information, the counselor called me out of the blue and convinced me to apply for financial aid. I applied and the rest is history.

I GET TO LIVE MY DREAM!!

Anyway, we are moving to AZ so I can start ATP school over the summer and who knows where life will lead me after that.

i had the same dream back in 71 , I loved flying, my dad was an ex battle of britain pilot, and he tought me how to fly at night and concentrate by lighting matches when i was on final and burning my legs a bit (were wore shorts in the bahamas) now 20,000+ hours later and i havent liked being a bus driver for more years than i care to think but it is a job,, the modern day sterile cockpit where one cannot speak about anything other the flight one is making,is for the birds, accountants have more power than company owners, also it is not a world for a happy marriage, especially if you go long haul, life can be hell when you heart is split in 2 directions. i wish you well on your odyssey

  • 5 months later...

For my PPL it was totally in a C172/U for my multi and now my instrument training, it is a PA44-180/G

I have no idea how much I am paying per hour, something around $230 I would guess... but I paid for the whole program which goes from PPL to CFII at once.
