dodgy-alan 1,587
Dutch Coastguard Dornier 228 on a dusk patrol over the North Sea. The weathers is stormy but that won't stop this aircraft. The crew are experienced and we join them as they prepre to leave their base at Valkenberg, their route will take them up over the gas and oil rigs with a refuellling stop at Teeside airport........ Preparing to depart lift off into the murky skies leaving the Dutch coast behind. dropping down to 1,500 ft checking out a container ship, she looks suspicious as she seems to be heavily loaded but looks high in the water, report filed and sent to the radar station to keep an eye on her. the North Sea is a cold and lonely place in bad weather ! over the oil fields a while later and she's approaching teeside About to touchdown, A yard of derilict HS Tridents over to port. Parked at Teeside, whilst the aircraft is serviced the crew can grab a coffee and relax. Half hour later and shes departing back off to Holland. Lifting off into the gathering darkness Now the crew rely on thier night vision cameras as they head back to base. Thanks for viewing....I could have continued but an aircraft flying at night is not exactly visible !!
