In 1968 a brand new Boeing 737-200 G-AVRL (CN-19709, LN 38)became the first of its type on the UK register when it entered service with Britannia Airways at Luton. It finally left Britannias fleet in 1986 and went to Presidential Airlines in the USA. In 1987 it was sold to America West Airlines and was scrapped in 1991. During its time with Britannia it was leased first to Aerolinas Argentinas and then to Yemen Air.

Here we see the aircraft in its original livery departing Luton on a foggy day.............

The new aircraft makes its debut outside Britannias hangar.

Wow, she had quite a history! Back in 1968 I guess it was a real treat to fly to places like Spain and the Mediterranean, even if it was from Luton!

Excellent shots Alan :thum:

Thanks guys, glad you like it.

Rosario, this is a freeware model, The aircraft is Eric Cantu's excellent work as are all my B737s. Cant remember who did the repaint but it's readily availiable. I fly in FS9 but there are lots of FSX ones availiable as well.
