Yes as the title says 'I think I've just lost my weekend'.

Tonight I have been receiving an error from FSX, Error ID = 25 (null). :help:

Having just spent some time with Google it appears my only options were to re-install Sp2 or acceleration (Which I have done) and failing this then a re-instal is the only solution. :stars::gaah:

Running Windows 7 64bit, and this has only started tonight and I have not changed anything.

Now if anyone else has any ideas then please post them below.

Cheers

TRB

Hi Edward,

I share your pain, it's looking like I have to re-install Windows and FSX.

Looking at all the results on Google, I agree a re-install looks to be in order.

Good luck.

Having just smashed up a passenger train in Railworks (as you do) and calmed down I have found a solution!

It turned out that my desktop FSX shortcut was directed into my FSX root, not the actual application! having now made a new shortcut I now have FSX working again!

So my weekend has been savored! Huzzar! :D

A now relieved TRB

You didn't by any chance get a "win32 gael" virus at any point recently did you? This little b*gger has been picked up by Microsft Essentials a couple of times recently but when it's cleaned off system various items wouldn't work for me. These included FTX Central, FTX Aero and previously FSX all of which I managed to fix - FSX with new shortcut and FTX by running the last patch again!! However Uk2000 Configurator could only be fixed by a reinstall of all my UK2000 Airports.

I had this a couple of years ago and was pulling my hair out looking at having to reinstall the whole lot when purely by accident found the same thing , dont know how it gets changed , but it sure made me check every possible thing before proposing a reload.
