Your right there Brett,

but "Northern California" and "South Alaska" might be worth a look, and I was thinking about getting UTX Alaska X anyway, so I will hold off on that one now and wait and see what the Orbx stuff is like first.

Not sure about the UK yet, as I already have that area covered by JF RealScenery, also not sure how Orbx will cope with the urban landscape in England, because as you will know from PNW Seattle area is a ***** on your FPS unless you have a super computer, guess we will have to sit on the fence and see what comes up with that one ;) .

I'm waiting for the NorthEast of the US :) .

Only In your wildest dreams buddy ;)

That's a good point too - I was just going to use the UK OrbX on P3D anyway - but with my Horizon photo, short on 3D but can at least pick out my house and the field boundaries, small local VFR etc. Need to think about it before I open a base here . . . But I'll certainly go for S. Alaska, presuming its contiguous to Tongass? And NZ-NI of course . .

Mike

I just got Tongass as well, and have no intention of covering it up with somthing else.

Although the Tongass scenery is done by Holger Sandman, and he also works for Orbx so I would think that the new Alaska scenery would start at the Tongass Northern border, a bit like the PFJ does in the South? (I hope?).

I'm quite please about..

FTX England Region (EU-ENG)

EGHR Chichester/Goodwood Airport

EGKA Shoreham/Brighton Airport

EGHI Southampton International

My 3 most local and used airfields.

I didn't think Orbx were going to do UK airfields? Not complaining mind!

As their new world-wide HQ is going to be only 15 miles from my home I can nip in there for the latest scoops!

certainly an agressive marketting plan, i feel sorry for the likes of Gary Summers whose uk2000 software has been very well made and a sole source of income for him I guess he will have to join the never ending line of the unemployed, very sad h'es a decent guy.

Blimey Joe I knew you had influence in the world of virtual flying but I had no idea it stretched this far - you're now getting scenery and airfields made to measure from the look of this announcement

I don't thike Gary of UK2000 has to worry, as I am a big Orby fan but his exreme airports will take some beating and I am sure JV of Orbx has said they are not into large internationals..
