COA1590 Into the Snow!

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys,

Just a short flight from me today, from Boston Logan Intl (KBOS) to Sault ste Marie airport (CYAM). The normal ERJ-145 aircraft was out of service today, having damaged the landing gear on the icy runway, and so our aircraft for the day is a Boeing 737-700. Enjoy the shots.

Parked up at Gate 25, on a nice crisp morning at Boston.

Pushing back.

Engines wearing off the frost as we get started.

Passing the American Airlines stands.

Holding short for a Colgan Air Saab 340B.

fsscr005.png

Turning onto the runway as a 757 lands.

Getting on our way!

fsscr009.png

Gear up and switching to departure.

fsscr010.png

Going back on ourself, and crossing over the airport.

fsscr012.png

Nearly into our low cruise of 14000ft.

fsscr013.png

Descending down towards CYAM, ATC chooses a very strange approach.

fsscr014.png

Turning towards the finals.

fsscr015.png

Final adjustments, light crosswinds, trying not to flare too early.

fsscr016.png

Reversers doing all they can to stop us before the end of the very short runway!

And finally, parked up safe and sound at the terminal.

Hope you enjoyed those. Comments are welcome :-)

As you know i already said these were great shots over on JF. One thing i just noticed though is you still have the old version of KBOS without the new runway. I think the new version is actually on Fly Tampas site and still free.

Hi TAP

They are excellent you had me fooled for a moment some of them could be real, Continental is one of my favourite liveries

I would keep an eye out to make sure no-one posts them under their name on the POSKY forum. (Saw that Steve, shocking)

I didn't realise there was an update to Logan I must get it too!

Cheers

Great shots. It may be out of date, but your scenery did you proud. That shot of the airport from above is very convincing. The ice and snow, particularly the ice on the water in the lower left is very well done and looks quite real.

Thanks for that tip, reef.

And also, Mutley, thank you I shall keep an eye out! :mrhappy: I think it's shameful what happened to Reef's shot, and the worst thing is, the guy actually said it was his when he's been cought red-handed. Just terrible, I hope nobody else falls victim to this fraud!

Best Regards,
