Quickmarch 488
Present company not included in the Topic Title qualifier. I just came across this during an unrelated search. Apologies if the unit has been covered here or in the panel builders forum. I did do a search on the company name and the model name in Mutley's Forums and came up empty. http://www.virtual-fly.com/ovo-04 The company also builds a non-motion panel, see it here: http://www.soloflightpanel.com/solo-flight-panel The company appears to be in Spain. Any Mutlers in Spain? I'm curious what one of these things costs. The unrelated search was one for unusual "Big Boy's Toys" for another project I'm involved in. Belated Happy New Year to all. Cheers, March PS: Kieran, I think I've found Chuck
allardjd 1,853
Hopefully Chuck was not piloting one of the airliners you were flying in... John
Quickmarch 488
No, he's the featured cock at a big Buddist Temple, south of Chaing Mai, in a town called Laumpun (spelling suspect). However, the town name is pronounced Lampoon, so I suspect Chuck is the resident rascal. Eventually, I'll get the photo I took of him out of this Crapple and into a computer where I can post it. Quickmarch 488
Does anyone have any idea how they're asking for one of these things (say, in C172 set-up)? If not I'll go to the manufacturer. You know how it is, though: the manufacturer is probably going to go all out with 1000 questions and all I want is ballpark numbers. My brother and I are thinking of setting up a serious "toy rental" or sort of a co-op toys for big boys in Vancouver. Very much in the business plan stage. We're actively researching toys at this stage. Cheers, March
Quickmarch 488
I got a reply from the manufacturer. At this point it is only a contact number for the Canadian Agent (in Montreal). This is a bit difficult for those of us in Vancouver, being 3000Nm away. However, it is a start. Quoted price for Canada for the unit in C172 livery is $68K, $67K for a Mooney M 20 cockpit and $81K for a Piper Seneca. I'll have to wait until they realise there is no one at home in Vancouver and they get in touch by email to get any firm details. Of interest, the panel-only is quoted at $4,300.00CAD We will have to mull over a business plan and do a bit of research, but there could well be a place for this gadget (or a few of them). I'm thinking entertainment only. Lord only knows what kind of a can of worms might be opened by trying to get involved in ab initio or advanced pilot training. Probably have to foot the bill for a type certificate for each simulator. Cheers, March
