The red barron 41
Hello! and welcome to my trip report of my flights to the US and back. The flights there I took 77 pics and will be posting 43 of them! But they are all JPEG. The flight home will be posted underneath this post later in the day as I have the dentist later so I should be done by then as the appointment is at 2:30. We flew with Delta to Florida via Atlanta which ment two planes  I am sure Mut can explane this in more detail as I know he has done this route with them before. Aircraft were an A330-300 to Atlanta and a B757-200 down to Orlando. Some stuff about the holiday whilst photo bucket decides to have a slow day There was 9 of us me and my parents, aunt uncle + x2 cousins and my other aunt and her step son. We stayed in a Villa in Davenport which had a full swimming pool when we arrived and a very clean patio when we left and a half full pool Two weeks of fun and my whining little cousin. I should now explain that one of my cousin's is 15 and the other 12 and she is the whiney one. However if Seb(15) wanted a drink he had to pay himself but Eli(12) oh no she got every thing she wanted and they always did what she wanted to do. Here is and example, Daddy Daddy I'm bored, or this one which is my favourite. Last day all packed cases in cars so lets go get lunch, got lunch went played mini golf next door. Two teams me, Seb and dad and Eli aunt and step son. cousins parents took pics. My team finished 5 holes in front. So when the others appeared me and Seb went to obsereve but no not to Eli, DADDY DADDY The boys are annoying me! we were stood in the place where you purchase the balls and that. Itinerary overview All Disney parks done both the universal parks done, Bush Gardens Tampa done, and Sea world done. So where a few expensive restaurants. I will be silent on this now before I hit the 60,000 character limit. Finally after an hour of waiting I can finally get on with this. Check in was a breeze as was security. We then had breakfast in a coffee shop that I can't remeber the name of, before proceeding to the gate. Here is our A330-300 parked up at the gate at LGW. ramp action time. BA 777 next to us, little did I know that I would see this aircraft later on. queue starts to build up for the active Quatar A330-300 parked next to our plane Virgin 747-400 on final. Easy jet A319? taxing out after push back Fail with the shutter of the camera as this poor Thomas Cook A330 loses its nose on landing Boarding was good but I have had worse, met by Kip (no not the dog) at the 2L door. Found my seat and sat in it, this was my view IFE not that I used it much as it kept crashing on me. Camera off for departure. We pushed back and then sat there for ages before taxing out and stopping a BA 737, we then sat at the runway while a Ryanair 737 landed as well as a BA A319. Past ten thousand so camara can come back on. flight status Lunch over the Shetlands but we had just had breakfast and I don't eat well on planes as it is. In fact only my aunt had most of her lunch but she is a big eater anyway. My mum  The engine and sky at FL360 somewhere over the atlantic + The wing Customs forms were handed out about 4 hrs in the flight. My mum filling out the customs forms for all three of us. the cabin Canada appears on the map Que little kids were nearly there! errrrrrrrrr NO! My boarding pass now over Canada In a bank for the next way point. At this point I fell asleep! What I had been up since 4AM! I woke up 10 mins prior to decent and had my chocolate ice cream that my mum had put on my table. YUM!! Final picture before Camera had to go to bed. And after 8hrs 55 we were parked up at the gate. Bye bye A330. Our next flight would be in another concourse so after going though customs and waiting for my aunt who got in the biggest queue we put our bags with the conecting flights agent and past back though security we go on the train to go to Concourse C (I think) for flight two. we had about an hour and a halfs wait so we got something to eat and I took some pics of the ramp at Atlanta. tower Our Plane for flight two NO!you can't park in the terminal! There was a gate there Delta Delta every where not another carrier in sight! Caution low flying Delta 767 landing that ones not Delta! why it's united! Go to Gate time where they were already boarding! my view on this plane which has seen many a year in servace as the cabin was fling apart and she didn't sound healthy either with the mice in the gear. Camera off for take off as I had to ohh look what I found in the magazine Aircraft info! IFE luckily it was only an hours flight the falling apart window! oh look I can see the metal skin of the plane! I don't know if you can see it but this was all scratched and dirty. cloud at Fl330! actualy the flight was so bumpy that no once did the seat belt sign go off. America! Even airport info god the mag just gets better! and I found a route map to! IFE working but it's now time to desend and the camera had to be turned off! Smooth landing was to follow with a squeaky landing gear! Virgin 747-400 Remember that BA 777 parked next to the A330? well here it is. Customs was a breeze as there wasn't any because it was an internal flight. Got the cars and bags and went to the villa mum both aunts one cousin and my dad went to publix(like Tesco) and got the food unpacked stuff and went to bed. That's it for now flight home will apear later today or tomorrow. Hope I didn't make you bored and the you enjoyed my little TR. TRB
wisemanp 0
Wow, some amazing pics TRB. Love all the Delta at Atlanta, and I still prefer the slightly older livery to the modern one. Also interesting to see that there seem to be none left in Northwest livery at all. Also amazing how you saw the same aircraft in Gatwick and Florida!

mutley 4,495
I really enjoyed reading this post TRB and looking at the shots. As you mentioned I flew with Delta from Orlando to Miami last year and was happy with their service. Our ocean crossing was with BA though. The flight across the pond appeared to follow the nomal pattern coming in over Canada and then following the Eastern Seaboard. The IFE displays of the flight in progress bring back many happy memories! Thanks for posting, I will be looking at this many times over the next few days! Cheers
