Thats what I've started doing, FTX Global for long haul, but even then I use the default airliners with new liveries and sound packs to reduce memory problems.

For the life of me I cannot taxi the Otter. Too little thust it comes to a halt, nudge the throttle to get it moving and it shoots across the taxiway like a rocket.

Any luck with this?

I've not seen FTX Global named as the culprit for OOMs, if that is the case does anyone know if the GEX textures are a little less memory intensive. I know GEX is a bit older, so it makes sense to me... I am in a quandry regarding an impending reinstall, and can't decide which would be best, memory wise (I have both).

I've spent a couple of holidays in a borrowed cottage at the endof Bembridge airfield on the Isle of Wight (where the Islamder is assembled). So I have a soft spot for it, too...
