In their video chat a couple of days ago, the developers were saying 10th-11th Feb for the update. So it looks like it slipped 2 weeks, not 1. They also mentioned the next region will be France & Benelux.

I still get occasional support requests from FS9 users, so, there are definitely people out there flying it. For an old low spec PC/laptop, it's probably a good fit. And arguably, it has better/less buggy ATC than MSFS . . . And LOADS of addons!
