  1. Pretty much nails the theory of the Tunguska event I reckon.
  2. Here's a compilation of the best recent Russian meteorite shots from their car cams and elsewhere ... Enjoy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2FCJOuLXIz4
  3. Not going to chime in with current diagnostics on Glens PC as its being dealt with and I know too many cooks can spoil the broth, I'm sure these guys will sort it for ya though Glenn ... My intention to post here is about the original topic and cables to drives, you would not believe it but some SATA 3 cables that are identically specified can perform better than others and sometimes the best third party ones don't necessarily perform the best either! In my recent I73960X build I wanted as best I could and it seemed silly to go overboard as I did and not buy expensive brand name SATA 3
  4. Seriously, that was some amazing footage captured over Russia, it really looked like something out of the movie Armageddon in one news clip I saw ... amazing. Going back to this thread again, wasn't it amazing the amount of Russian car dash cams caught this live, there were hundreds of examples of this type of car cam footage shown ... LOL this would be a conspiracy theorists dream come true and probably still is, how come they all had dash cams at that moment in time they might ask? The sad reality is because they need them because of the big accident rate in the Russian states (only ju
  5. As regards the Pope and religion ... I really don't do that stuff at all ... I sincerely think religion is the root of most if not all wars How about this for a statement from a church, how can anyone condone this? http://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/news/world-news/popes-child-porn-normal-claim-sparks-outrage-among-victims-28577483.html Its no wonder some of those guys have the unfortunate reputation they do.
  6. Hi Joe, looks like you have sussed it already, but I set FSUIPC to save flights every 15 minutes or so ... mainly because of FSX flaky missions I suppose?
  7. Out of interest John, what is your stance of Hawaii still being part of the USA? (its in the middle of the Pacific for lords sake ) I guess its still not so far away as Falklands is to us, but far away enough to make one wonder what the legitimate claim to these islands were? I'm not trying to wind you up and really don't know the full history here but would be interested to know. Cheers.
  8. Was reading about this yesterday. Pretty draconian eh? I've always considered Cyprus my third home, this was one of my late Dads RAF tours, we spent three years there in Limassol and with a Greek landlord too, Germany is my second home and Scotland is obviously my first home. But if they get away with this, what's next? its like a foot in the door where politicians like our UK David Cameron will seize this opportunity to go even further? he will cite this as one of his excuses "Its the right thing to do" or "We are doing the right thing" I think most recent politicians in the UK at lea

Thanks Joe ... I really enjoyed that build. I'm committed to two new builds on the same site now for six months, a 1/12 Motorcycle again and a 1/32 Jet ... these ones. Marco Melandri Spiderman race bike as a donor kit. Decals and extra's for it I have already. And with a bit of luck it should end up like this. The Jet I'm building is the Italeri (Kinetic re-box) 1/32 F-86 Sabre., still undecided if I should do this out of the box (no after-market stuff) or go to town with it with after-market ... I've got a week or so to decide. I'll be doing The Huff dra
  10. I think that's pretty conclusive, it does seem odd that we in the UK own territory in the southern hemisphere these days, we've lost so much this way over the years, personally I hope we will achieve a no religion no border Human Species in time and evolution and eventually migrate to other star systems, is this possible? I don't think so but I'm optimistic for our race and forever hopeful. As regards the Falklands ... I find it a fascinating era in military history ... I can remember when it all kicked off, we had a Tory government back then too as I recall and they wanted our Aircraft Ca

Crazy, for what its worth I like the Nigerian Bank detail email scam asking for your bank details the best for a laugh, its so ludicrous its funny but sad too ... but I guess if you throw enough darts one will hit the bullseye sooner or later, many people must have been duped by this, my youngest sister is particularly naive and when I first built her a computer and fixed up internet access for her and installed the best of my knowledge security software and told her the basics ... she still managed to get her PC ridden with mall-ware that I had to fix twice before she finally seemed to unders
  12. Just as more feedback on this Mission Pack, was flying the first mission last night, its OK but not the best I've seen, also its a bit buggy ... be sure to have autosave enabled in FSUICP at regular intervals you are comfortable with, took me three attempts at loading the first mission third leg and doing everything correctly only to find the mission objective would not trigger, If I'd not had save flights enabled I'd have been really peeved after a long flight if the trigger never kicked in
  13. I'll look forward to that very much Dai, thanks I also intend to check out your NYC mission soon too with Aerosoft Manhattan.

Adding to this thread, finished this Tamiya 1/12 RC166 build ... I love bikes ... Heh
  15. Dai, not been back to you yet with Long Lat stuff yet , but I will if you still like fairly soon to help make this mission available to a wider audience. Been really busy, sorry.
  16. Hi Phil ... I'm no programmer, but for sure the Fly Tampa guys seem to know how to squeeze maximum detail for maximum performance for most high end FS PC's, check them out ... I believe they offer free demo's for many of their scenery areas.

I've often wondered about the pronunciation of Colin Powell the US Politician's name too, I always used to hear him referred to on UK TV news as he would *like* the pronunciation to be heard I guess? and not as it is in our country ... I dunno? I would say my name Colin like this, but even an accent comes into play here too when trying to describe I suppose? Kolin Colin Powell's usage on the news even from British reporters as ... Kohlin EDIT: To confuse matters even further, one of my American hero's is Colin Edwards (The Texan Tornado) is one of my Motorcycle race heroes,

Its Cool John and no worries mate, I think and hope it was the icebreaker to make us forget and move on, if you were here right beside me I'd shake your hand and buy you a beer. This site is too good to have fall outs with like minded members. Peace..

LOL Trevor, you are something else mate If I was going over the carcass as you say, it was merely because I never had the chance to comment on this closure before I took leave the last time, that to be honest was because of you. Best wishes. Nige. PS: I'm all for forgive and forget mate, just cut me a little slack please.

    end of flight

I think we all wanted fs11 from flight and it was not to be sadly. The base program (ESP) was created for all sort of simulation scenarios it can be used for train sims , car sims and many other things, as i understand it problems arose from this continued insanity of backward compatibility being considered necessary for whatever reason. L.M. are using ESP to take FSX to the next level however they have to get to an understanding of what does what etc as there is only one or two ex M.S. guys with experience in fsx that moved to LM. I still maintain hope that S.Bullmer will be pushed aside by

LOL ... I hear what you say John, but at the same time its still our flight sim enthusiast history here and we will always look back fondly or not so fondly as the case may be, there is absolutly no danger of things getting out of hand unless overbearing moderation chimes in, and I'm sure you wont do that. I was talking with fond and less fond memory's on the hardware forum about old Intel DX33 chips, surly its OK to talk about old software too? I'm not trying to wind you up here, honestly, also why are you so defensive on the old MS Flight? I've seen you rip it to shreads too in your own
  22. Looking at this again (I love everything Titanic) how incredibly well cast by Cameron were some actors in the film? The Unsinkable Molly Brown Kathy Bates. They could have been sisters!

    end of flight

I don't want to open up old wounds and I'm basically reminiscing here. But my recent thoughts on MS Flight are ... it was basically FS11 early code polished a bit and shoved out the door for a quick buck, as I recall MS Aces team did make a start on FS11 after FSX and for a little while things were progressing nicely then it was announced it was canned, a new Train Sim 2 was announced as canned at the same time too, the second time they canned it. I remember reading posts about how a couple of MS Aces staff were kept on to archive current MS flight sim code and that would include the t
