dodgy-alan 1,587
This aircraft is probably better known as a WW2 anti-submarine and rescue aircraft. However it began life as a passenger and mail plane for Lufthansa in the 1930s, (obviously its envisaged true role was kept quiet due to the non-proliferation agreement after WW1, hence it's civilian first appearance). This one is an adaptation of the Revell/Matchbox kit that was sold as a military model. All the markings are based on photographs. They and the beaching gear are all done from scratch. Lettering is largely Lettraset and additional bits from the spares box. You will not find this model in the shops, it is totally unique. Hope you like the results....... brett 2,316
Great job Alan, that's what I always enjoyed about modeling, being able to use leftover parts and decals to create your own unique version.

stu7708 244
Odd looking bird. I presume the engine is centred over the fuselage, but in a few of the shot it looks like it's got a slight offset towards the right side. Must be the angle playing tricks with my eyes.
