Bronson Creek (Canada)

Recommended Posts

A friend has told me that he has a FS9 airport called Bronson Creek, located in Canada. The code is supposed to be CB5, but I can't find it anywhere in Skyvector. I know this place is a treasure of little to unknown airports/strips, so I'm wondering if it has been heard of up here. I've been talking to him about the strip at Lukla, and he said that this one is just as difficult. Incidentally, I'd like to fly it in FSX, not FS9.

Must give that a try sometime... looks like a very nicely situated airstrip...

To bad it's just outside the boundaries of the ORBX Pacific Fjords scenery...

It is however located within FSAddons Tongas Fjords.. does anyone know if that scenery includes enhancements to airports too???

I did take a look in google earth, and the location looks pretty daunting...

By the way, are you using the default version of Lukla or Aerosofts add-on??

The default version is placed about 2 nm to far to the south, making it even more difficult to spot since there's a great big mountain sticking up just south of it blocking your view as you head towards the airport...

If you are on the default version I can also recommend a nice freeware rendition of Lukla.. it's still in the wrong location, but they made sure that the runway has the same orientation as the real thing taking the threshold for the runway a bit further away from that great big mountain..

Search for lukla_v2.zip in the scenery library at www.flightsim.com

Hi! I am a newbie on here and while just travelling around the forum subjects I came across this one on Bronson Creek.

I've flown in and out of there a few times in FS9 and now in FSX.

Hawkair used to fly Bristol 170 Freighters out of there a number of years ago and last flew out in th elate 1990's. A real tricky spot if you crank the wind up!
