Quickmarch 488
Dear Mr. Wagstaff, First, let me congratulate you on your promotion to CPL ME/IR. This promotion will raise your MTOW limit to 25,000 lbs. Fortunately, as you will see later in this letter, this MTOW limit is not quite enough to get you into the left seat on the DC-3. Second, your short tenure with QuikAire might be near the end. Yesterday, you managed to do $26,975.86 (13%) damage to our C-208. That must have been some landing! Sunriver (S21) has a 5400+ foot runway, so we won't be using a short field as an excuse will we? In addition, the customer docked us $1,658.00 in damages to his goods and is walking around muttering obscenities that all end in "Aire". The total comes to $28,633.86 and represents 32% of all the earnings you have brought in since you started with the company. So, let's make this real simple - "that's one". QuikAire is a reasonable company to work for. Just ask Amelie. She started her career at QuikAire with the same sort of laissez-faire attitude towards the equipment, worked in dispatch for a few weeks while retraining, then has become one of our highest earning pilots. Please report to dispatch tomorrow morning. Mavis has an instructor lined up at the FBO to take you out and spend a bit of time burning kerosene and doing some circuits. Until he clears you to continue flying, please consider yourself grounded. Sincerely, "March" Marchant CC&BW

brett 2,316
Ouch, one step away from working at a fast food joint. Poor Mr. Wagstaff. I don't think he will be sleeping well tonight. Tomorrow is not going to be easy either, ever notice how piloting is tougher when an instructor is looking on.
Gunner 69
Mr. Wagstaff: "That landing wasn't that bad...that damn goat on the runway...its his fault..."
Quickmarch 488
No relation to Patty, I assume?' John Geez, I never thought of that. You'd think he'd be able to land an airplane if that was the case (osmosis).
Hero540 0
Why do I have the feeling that if I were a pilot working for a cargo outfit in real life that I could just replace "Mr. Wagstaff" with my name and that'd be the letters I would receive from my bosses... ehunyadi 0
I thought of this thread when I had to assign a pilot to fly a DC-3's worth of cargo in a Mooney Bravo today so he could gain some hours. lol.
