I should have put all my money into lightbulb companies. :D

now we all should, damn :)

I bought the Benelux night lighting download not realising that it was a zip file. :fool: I'm not competent with zips. I wish they would make that clear when you order.

Thank you for purchasing Benelux Geoff

thats news to me; you got zip's from Aerosoft?

i was under the impression they distribute an installer

did you purchase Belgium or Netherlands before Benelux, and got Benelux as an update?

Hi Chris, I didn't purchase Belgium or the Netherlands. I assume that Benelux ie Belgium the Netherlands and Luxemburg is a standalone and not an update. There was no installer it just came as a zip. No good to me.

I'm also having problems accessing my account at Aerosoft ,I made a note of my user name and password both of which pop up in the boxes then I'm told the user name does not exist.

I have recently bought their Nice and Orly. Their publicity shots show AI aircraft. There are none, they should inform us of the fact + buildings are missing.

So I'm confused and somewhat annoyed.

Thank you Geoff, im sorry to hear your not happy with your purchase

please bear with me while i look into this; i find this very disturbing!

zip files are unacceptable; you should have gotten an installer from AS.

as for user login issues, ive seen someone else posting that on their forum; though i didn't look into the thread

Hi Chris, first off, you thanked me for purchasing Benelux. May I ask, do you represent Aerosoft? And thanks for any effort on my behalf.

I have managed to access my account there and it definitely was a zip which surprises me as other downloads I've had from them have installed automatically.

Best, Geoff.

:th_blush: OOOPS! Oh dear! Chris please accept my apologies for the remark I made earlier. Truth is, I was so impressed by the Berlin demo I just had to get the full product. Imagine my disappointment  when I realised it was a zip. I looked at Aerosofts support site and NE is not listed. I'll check to see if they do a boxed version.

Also l must congratulate you on developing a great product. I really want it.

is there going to be a uk NE released? because I like the belgium and Netherlands photoscenery and I combine that with the genx uk photoscenery, if I can have the same regions availalble at night , that would be cool.

its all good Geoff ;)

i understand your disappointment!

and i know you were just kidding earlier

i saw you posted this issue on AS forum; ive emailed my rep about this as well,

i still haven't heard back from him; im sure there's an explanation to this;

i cant wait to hear it though,

in the mean time im more than happy to walk you through setting up the files

i hate thinking you have NE Benelux sitting there and not enjoyed

Yes Nigel; there will be a UK NE release soon

the next country that will go into production will be put to a public vote in the next few days

Thanks guys, your kind words and support; much appreciated!

Ah, simple then Geoff. Right click on the zipped folder and click on 'Extract All'. Another folder will appear usually with the same name. Open that unzipped folder and double click on the setup(executable) file and the installer should start. :)

Glad you got it going Geoff. :)

I was wondering, not sure how to say it, if this just adds the light bulbs that glow above the surface of the ground or does it also add the associated reflections on the ground.

Yes Brett, NE adds both the 3D lights and the ground splash effect

each ndividual 3D light has its own shape and color splash on the ground

I can vouch for the realism of NE Brett. At 12,000ft the lights stretch away to the horizon towards towns and cities. On take offs and landings the streets and motorways are bathed in light. It's almost too distracting.

One word. BRILLIANT. :D
