Marmite with a twist!

Recommended Posts

RE V8: It's OK. It's common here and I've had it many times. It's best VERY cold but I can detect a slight taste of celery, which I detest so don't go out of my way to get it. Regular tomato juice with a dash of Worcestershire is better.

In my humble opinion V8 is best left under the bonnet (hood) of a car.

John, I am with you on the tomato juice thing, but you left out the vodka. Tut tut - a schoolboy error!

I got the worst of that out of my system when I was young. There's a lot of headaches in those bottles, so I go more carefully now. Not a teetotaler, but have dialed it down quite a lot from yesteryear.

I live in the town where there is a Marmite factory - actually it's brewery and the Marmite is kind of like the secondary product made from the lefts overs of the beer brew :) I like the stuff and I like beer so it's all good in my town.

I sometimes have Marmite and Peanut butter on toast - sounds disgusting but it's a taste sensations I promise!

Ah, Burton on Trent, I remember being on a temporary assignment there and driving past the brewery there was always a rich aroma of Marmite!

You got it - I work over the road and live about 15mins away into the fields - some days it smells like Horlicks but then other days it just stinks and smells like wee ;)
