Paul K 22
Virtavia's new Avro Lincoln over FTX England's Lincolnshire, to be exact. RA722 repaint by Jens-Ole Kjølberg, weather courtesy of REX Essentials and Opus. That's RAF Coningsby off in the distance, by the way.

Paul K 22
Thanks guys. Joe, the Merlins don't sound very good...well, certainly not Merlinish, but I'm using some replacement sounds from an old Shackleton project which are a bit better. Overall, its not a bad representation of the aircraft, though only the cockpit and nose compartments are modeled - the navigator and W/OP positions aren't done, which is a pity. There's also a problem with the radome on one model ( crude and low poly ) and the pitch trim wheel rotates in the wrong direction. Nevertheless, a pat on the back to Virtavia for giving us another rarity.
dodgy-alan 1,587
Looks good, I've some freeware Lincs from a while ago, Its a shame this aircraft isn't so well represented in the FS world. Nice to see this one.
Paul K 22
Alan, I think you'll like it. Further info - I've just installed Des Braban's Lancaster sound pack, and it transforms the experience. The file to look for is lncsnd1.zip in the FS2004 section of Avsim's library. I recommend deleting the wind.wav file because the wind sound is a little irritating, and it might be worth using the stock gear retract/lower and flap .WAVs because it sounds like the motors and actuators are right behind the pilot's head instead of out there in the wings. Other than that - lovely stuff. BTW, I used this sound set with Plane Design's Lancaster and Lancastrian back in FSX.
Paul K 22
One more, this time near Strasbourg. I was trying out Orbx's Open LC Europe, which I bought in their current sale.
