A320cap 0
Very nice shots!! Is FEX worth buying? Is there any drop in fps? FSX runs fine now and I am interested in purchasing some addons and FEX is on top of the list.
mutley 4,495
Hi Panos, I do not have an FPS issue with FEX on my system. I do limit my FPS to 22 and never have a problem. Worth buying? absolutely! :mrhappy: Cheers
A320cap 0
Thanks but I had a look at the Real Environment Extreme website and I was stunned! http://www.realenvironmentxtreme.com/water/index.html this is awesome! Do you think I should wait for it or but FEX?
mutley 4,495
Hi Panos Those water textures are stunning, Tim Fuchs the man behind REX was in talks with Aerosimulations the people who make FEX about a joint venture but it never came to anything so he carried on alone. A further example of Tim's work is here http://www.vimeo.com/1212265 wow! I had found with previous versions of real environment it was only the water that was better than anyone else's (in my opinion) for clouds, it has always been FEX for me. REX is the new boy on the block and looking good, both versions are due for further development so they are both going to be very good. It will probably come down to which one is easier to use. I must admit I am not keen on the FEX user interface, it's not user friendly. If you are not in a hurry then wait to see how REX develops :eyebrow: Cheers
MartinW 0
Don't forget that FEX will also include a weather engine, in development now. GEX well worth a purchase also. Both on my wish list.
