IZ0JUB 162
Trim wheel made from an old PC mouse, wheel is the plastic base of a DVD spindle with a wood screw glued to the axle which goes through a hole made in the side of the mouse and connects with the mouse wheel. Two cable ties fix the unit to the table leg. Cut out a piece of black plastic to cover all the works. ..................M
needles 1,011
Congratulations Michael, isn't it just great when we manage to build something ourselves and then find it works just perfect. I also built my own trim wheel but using a different method. Well done and thanks for sharing your trim wheel with us. Brian

allardjd 1,853
Very nice job, however, you have further reinforced one of my bad habits - never throw away anything that could possibly used in the future, even if it's obsolete, broken and could be replaced for a song. Captain Coffee 2,030
Very nice job, however, you have further reinforced one of my bad habits - never throw away anything that could possibly used in the future, even if it's obsolete, broken and could be replaced for a song. John ^same and ditto. I have discovered Cigar Stores...and racks of empty cigar boxes that they sell cheep, or give away if buying other stuff. Living on a sailboat, organizing all the bits and pieces is a huge problem. Love the job you did on the Trim Wheel. How did you get the sim to recongnize the mouse inputs...is that as simple as the buttons settings in game to assign the function to the mouse wheel, and how do you get the computer to recognize two mice? (mouses?)
IZ0JUB 162
Hi to everyone and thank you so much for the kind words of support. I use the software FSUIPC which under the Miscellaneous Tab has a mouse wheel trim selection box, tick the box and away you go. Your main PC mouse operates in the normal way. Hope this helps you Matt................... Cheers, Mike
