jankees 917
For the JustFlight model: two paints of the same aircraft: VH-ASM/UZO was built as #1107 in 1937 and exported to Australia, becoming VH-UZO with Ansett Airlines. After a career with the RAAF and several other owners, it became VH-ASM when it was sold to Marshall Airways of Bamkstown NSW in december 1962. After an emergency landing in july 1967, she was struck off the register and sold. It reappeared on the Australian register as VH-UZO in 1991 after a full restoration to L-10A specs. jankees 917
Lockheed L-10A VH-UXH was built in 1936 with c/n 1060, and shipped to Australia. It had been bought by Guinea Airways for 18.000 pounds. It was registered as VH-UXH, named "C.J. Levien" after the airline's founder, and flew to New Guinea in september 1936. In februari 1937, having been found unsuitable for the rough New Guinea conditions, the aircraft returned to Australia, where it was used for flights between Darwin and Adelaide and Sydney and Adelaide. After the war, it was sold to Union Airways of New Zealand, becoming ZK-ALH, until it was cancelled from the register in 1951.
