adrians69 159
Hi everyone, I wanted to get the best parking space and be at the front of the queue when the doors open next week so I set off on a flight from Perth EGPT to Cosford EGWC in the Milviz Baron 55. I have had this aircraft for a while now in my hangar but have only just got around to flying it. Hope you enjoy the ride! The pre-flight walk round The Baron's "Office" Run up at Perth Climb out Turning on to departure heading At 8000ft cruise altitude over southern Scotland It was a bit cloudy over Scotland today Now approaching the border Over northern Cumbria The weather cleared up for the rest of the flight after crossing the border We are just starting to get into the peaks of the Lake District The hills and fells ahead The west coast around the Morecambe Bay area Coming up on Blackpool and the Fylde coastline Passing the Wirral In the taxi at RAF Cosford ...and I have claimed my parking spot!! I'll be waiting here for everyone. See you all next week and thanks for viewing! Adrian
Captain Coffee 2,030
Beautiful flight. I have had this plane for a while now too...and don't fly it often enough...trouble of having so many planes in the hangar, even nice birds like this tend to gather a lot of dust. Early bird gets the best parking spot...hope you enjoy the show!

adrians69 159
Thanks guys, @ Matt, this is a great aircraft and I find it to be the easiest to handle of all my twins. This is the first time I have flown this type, even though I've had it in my hangar for ages but I will definitely be using it for my trips more often now! Adrian

Captain Coffee 2,030
@wain...check the specs on Wikipedia to compare. If you intend for Airhauler, your Alabeo C404 kicks the Barron's arse on most counts except purchase price . But, it is a great flying classic twin and a good value for an addon. Milviz makes terrific models.

adrians69 159
The flight model is certified by real B55 pilots and the instruments and controls league nothing unmodelled except the original autopilot. It has been replaced with a Bendix King set.

mutley 4,498
Great looking shots Adrian, with the jet stream over Iceland at the moment it look like we are going to get our summer over the next 10 days so looking good for the show! Apparently there's a dismantled VC10 in the car park outside Hangar 1, not a public exhibition but should be interesting! See you and the missus Saturday!

Captain Coffee 2,030
Hope you all have a great time. If it weren't for that huge expanse of dirt and water in the way, and not nearly enough cash to afford a lift over all of it...I'd be there.
