KEKA-Murray Field, Eureka...weather report...

Recommended Posts

The weather reported "Foggy and Gloomy" as soon as I popped into the "start" spot at the end of the field.

Fog...sigh. Thanks ASN. :) Actually, this is to be expected frequently out here on the coast with real weather set, especially mornings...shouldn't have been surprised. :)

A low level, low viz first look around the fogged in field.

Love the varied roof top textures...even fogged out they look nice...not cookie cutter appearing.

Mind the wires all over the hangar area...dropping in is not advised. :)

Hauling up through the fog trying to get an overview and suddenly...A view...and an easy hole back down. Robinson R66 Fog Clearing Power!!!...not...it was kts

16 kts winds that blew in suddenly and blew that fog out, and it was a bumpy squirrely ride back down...but with better view than on the way up. :)

And, the coast bites again...by the time I get down and turned to look further about the area...that kty wind blew rain in...sigh.

Calling it a Preview, and as it is actually RW very late for me, not vRW very early for the Robinson...calling it a night too.

Landed by the pipe yard and FedEx Caravan...

That looks like a really nice place - great little airfield.

To be honest I preferred the gloomy foggy scenes, they added to the atmosphere and looked splendid.

Have to agree with the varied roof textures attention to detail has always been a part of Orbx.

Thanks for the trip and look forward to seeing your next outbound from Murray field :)
