Christopher Low 63
Unfortunately, this release does not include REX Essential Plus
Kevin Firth 114
No comment on the texture sets as havent had time to check them in sim, but installing the update certainly eliminated the Win10/MS local DB bug for me
mutley 4,498
Unfortunately, this release does not include REX Essential Plus I think they are focussed on REX 4 and Texture Direct now and Weather Architect. I'm not on the beta team any more so have no informed opinion but the last Essential update was back in 2014, a stable product now I should hope.
mutley 4,498
@Kevin - update went well for me too and flown the sim after installing new textures with no problems.

I have an open thread on the REX Support forum regarding a tiny, misty Sun, and also significant framerate drops when looking at REX water textures (in P3D v3.1).
Kevin Firth 114
Hate to say it chris but maybe just either use default P3D textures or invest in Rex4TD
Andrew Godden 945
I'm not on the beta team any more so have no informed opinion but the last Essential update was back in 2014, a stable product now I should hope. .....except that it isn't. I have an open thread on the REX Support forum regarding a tiny, misty Sun, and also significant framerate drops when looking at REX water textures (in P3D v3.1). Proof that at some point in the software life cycle, support for software is scaled back, particularly when it is replaced by an updated product. Software developers (or any company for that matter) don't make money by looking backwards and continually fixing outdated products. Time to move on and upgrade or accept it as it is.
