dodgy-alan 1,587
Great Pics Jim, I have a photo of my Dad standing in front of a BOAC Strat at Heathrow just before he flew out to join a ship in the 1950s.
UKJim 502
Cheers guys - yes this plane is a handful - I bloody love the starting, takeoff, flight, but the fricking approach and landing is going to require more practice as I suck at it lol.
wain 879
great shots, it must be like flying a boat....
brett 2,316
Nice shots Jim, I purchased this monster during the last sale but haven't flown it yet. I believe this was A2A's first Accu-simmed aircraft and they put a lot of work into it, looking at your shots makes me want to study down on the manual and get up there. Check out this old promo video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v92U2F9gbUo

Check out this old promo video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v92U2F9gbUo Yes it was the first plane they put an accusim on - the plane to fly without help from the engineer would be hard for me I think, but with the help from the engineer it really is a great plane to fly. Do not forget to turn your ADI pumps on before takeoff, remember to reduce power too, burnouts in this plane is easily done. The thing that is cool about this plane too is no flight computer, no GPS, so all navigation is through the radios and you have to plan your flight too. Think about when to start your descent. If you have career mode turned on, remember to look after your passengers lol. It is a wonder and I recommend it fully - easy on frames and so immersive - it competes with all modern airliner addons and yet this product is getting on a bit now, A2A were so ahead of the game back then. Good luck!
brett 2,316
Here is a link to part one of a four part set of videos of a full flight in the B377 that includes some navigation tips if anyone is interested. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d9HsdXeSYuQ It is a bit dated but I'm sure they will step it up with the upcoming Connie they are working on.
