brett 2,316
I was wondering when the T-6 would get the UKJim treatment. Looking good but you might want to paint that dull glare shield back on and how about a checkered baby blue and white engine cowl.
UKJim 502
Just checked this post and I like your thinking Brett but I have already painted it matt black I suppose I could paint the rest of it in baby blue checkered - I will take a look Here it is almost finished - wing tips, matt black glare shield, resize reg, more blue around the wings, lots of other little fixes too... Going forward, I will rty the checkered idea Brett, thanks, and I also need to continue the stripe down the rudder too (hard part). In the last picture, I have tried to show how the paint is less shiny than the chrome and the matt black finish has almost zero shine to it Hope you like?
brett 2,316
The paint is coming along nicely Jim, I do need to add that that the modeling on that T-6 in the closeup is gorgeous.
Captain Coffee 2,030
Looks super! Great job ...putting your "signature" on a stunning canvas like that can't hurt.
UKJim 502
Thanks for the comments guys! I have just managed to put some checkered brown on the front and it looks fantastic lol. I am not sure though which colour checkers go better... Brown/Chrome Brown/Blue Brown/White Blue/Chrome Blue/White Going to take a few goes on this choice I think Please try and picture it and share your opinion too. I think I will put my signature under the pilot window in black that would look good
brett 2,316
Blue/Chrome or Black or White I would try first I think although it does look good the way it sits now too.
UKJim 502
OK sorry people - you didn't stand a chance I did it in brown and chrome with blue and black trim. I like it so it is staying Here are the shots of the completed plane - just a few from tonights stream...
SEATAC 400
Nice, shiny, aluminum. Or as you Brits call it, Aluminium!
Captain Coffee 2,030
Looks fantastic. And regarding regional language variations...I never understood why English (and aussies) added an extraneous "I" to Aluminum. Surprised they didn't go with Alumunum.

Capt I have found lately that I have without thinking started spelling and even saying the odd word like it is in the US, examples are writing center and color, and saying things like trashcan, garbage and how you all say route(?)...I think I watch too much Baseball late at night...

We are all parrots and myna birds when we are in good company...it's a human Community Bonding Instinct or something I believe.
