wain 879 Posted October 24, 2016 Report Share Posted October 24, 2016 Picked up A320 from Lufthansa at Dusseldorf, destination was Geneva, no PAX, just a position flight with 4000kg of cargo...... just after pushback lined up ready to throttle up... climb out, weather clear here... weather changing as we get nearer to LSGG.... descending a few miles out, break through soon hopefully..... there it is, thats a better sight..... getting ready for the next trip..... Captain Coffee 2,030 Posted October 27, 2016 Report Share Posted October 27, 2016 Been forced lately to fly IFR more often, thanks to the season and clouds, (and the occasional ZULU miscalculation night flights )...I agree it's a bit nerve wracking ducking through the clouds, and if possible I'll switch to heading mode and ease around them even while IFR'ing...but I'm more concerned about bouncing around than hitting anything while flying blind, thanks to AH2 Pax Ops lately...they get fussy in the bumpys.
