Island connection.

Recommended Posts

BA/Loganair BN-2 Islander, departing Barra and then first heading east to pass over Rum and then doglegging down to the Sound of Mull before landing at Glenforsa on the Isle of Mull. Barra Airport is unusual in that it's literally on the beach and only usable at low tide. Glenforsa is a private strip used by the Glenforsa Hotel. For commuting round the islands, aircraft such as the Islander are in their element as there are few other aircraft that can do the job. The trip was done in real world weather in the afternoon. Model is freeware by Marcel Kuhnt.

Nice shots Alan, what version of the Islander is this?

It's a freeware one that was originally done by Marcel Kuhnt but with a livery set added by a third party. I think it's still around , though I've had it a while.

The payware version is very nice, worth it if your an Islander fan, I'll stick with my Twotter though.:D

I appreciate and use both of them... :)   the Islander is cheaper to buy and operate, but the Twotter can take almost twice the payload ( 2700 lbs against 1400 lbs iirc )
