Buddy, can you spare a dime?

Recommended Posts

Well, it's that time again, a meeting with the bank manager has been arranged to extend a line of credit via a credit card that will accompany the baton around the globe.

If that fails, Wonga.com says they can advance a 100 quid a month @ 1509% APR. :D

I guess those investments in Greek government bonds, Venezuelan oil stocks and Egyptian tourist services didn't pay off, eh?

Well heck, add that all up together and things are looking up for this years travels.:thum:

And as a plus I am donating a bunch of money I came into. What happened was I was trying to glue together my broken pistol grips and somehow the darn pistol got stuck to my hand, I went to the doctor to get it removed but they were rather standoffish for some reason and demanded 300 dollars cash to help me or to leave immediately. I didn't have it on hand so I walked into the bank next store and they gave me thousands for free, I guess they felt sorry for my situation, nice people I might add that were so helpful. So we are good to go.:D Gotta go, the cops are pulling me over, probably for texting and driving.......

Giza!  Love it.  I don't think they have banks there.  Even the West Bank is outside their area.

Do you think Geezer might be more appropriate?

John

You got it John :D, we have Visa cards over here so the Giza (pronounced geezer) is our equivalent. :thum:

I'm still kind of amazed that the baton made it through British customs when originally shipped all those years ago.  I wouldn't have been too surprised to have learned that they had taken it out to a deep hole in an empty field and "safely disposed of it" with about a half-pound of C4.

Definitely looks like a pipe bomb.

It's wearing well, only a few chips on the writing and it will be making a guest appearance at the Flight Sim show at Cosford this year.
