UKJim 502
So I prefer the white rather than the chrome so I've updated my connie repaint...
rosariomanzo 545
Actually it's even better than the other!
wain 879
yeah I agree with you Jom, it looks very nice in the white........
UKJim 502
Yeah I think the white just pops. I may add some more weathering but yeah thinking this may stay. Thanks for your comments
needles 1,013
Very nice Jim.
brett 2,316
Yeah, the white looks much better and doesn't reflect the sky as much which in some shots made it look all blue. Nice work Jim.
UKJim 502
OK so I have now added the blue prop tips spinning effect when engines are running - I have also added a further weathering to the fuselage....

I've been trying to figure out what it is about the Connie that I dislike. It's not the repaint, which is great Jim. its that huge front gear. Now I know thanks to Wayne for making it clear. 1
UKJim 502
The wheels on this thing are just shocking! I hate them! But when it is up in the air, it looks stupidly good. Upgly ducking on the ground, stunning in the air at 20k feet
wain 879
I agree with Matt, the more I look at it the more I think it needs weathering, oil stains etc.......still great work though...I used to paint the trucks in ETS2 but never got round to trying the AC's yet....don't really have time..... I agree too but likewise having the time is an issue at the moment. I also need to find some good brushes too. Still a work in progress but it will get there in time

UKJim 502
I've actually wiped this version now lol but I've taken some ideas from it and another better version will be on it's way. I like the 'faded' glare shield coming from the nose so I'm keeping that and making it better. I'm not sure I like as much dirt as this one ao I'm thinking of toning that down. I used a brown colour but I'm not sure if it would be better to use a grey like a dried water effect than dirt? Lot's to think about
UKJim 502
OK so I have now 'finished' the repaint - check out my screens...

brett 2,316
Long video Jim so admit I only scanned bits and pieces but what I saw was nicely done, cool looking approach at night topped off with a good landing. Saved it in my cue for when I have more time.

I just about have time to stream so editing videos is just not a go - sorry. Thanks for watching and feedback - maybe next time I'll get into innsbruck with correct approach lol. Cheers Jim
Captain Coffee 2,030
yeah, i did the same. I watched a fair bit of your cockpit pretakeoff setup...then skipped around to the good stuff. The paint looks terrific in flight, and it's a gorgeous bird in and out.
