Just a couple of pretties from some recent flights.

 

I was admiring the lighting around Las Vegas while taking a high ranking Pax back to Edwards...the Midnight Hooker Run...pays well, tips well, and what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.

I'm sure the FS convention will be amazing but I doubt I could finance a trip so soon after starting a new job.

 

I think I prefer the Virtual Vegas to the real one. I was there years ago for a convention, and again briefly to pick up a telescope component ... and left both times with a plastic taste in the back of my craw. All that glitter and 'artwork' pixelates horribadly on close inspection...Phony'est city on the planet. 

 

Valley of Fire State Park nearby was FAR more interesting.

I had a brief walk into it as far as one small bottle of water would take me after the convention trip. I saw petroglyphs, awesome colors in rock strata, history, and hardly another person....a very cool...but f'n hot place.
