dodgy-alan 1,587
On 25-5-2019 Goodwood Airfield (EGHR) held what many hope will be a yearly event. The Aerodrome Open day was a good chance to get a look behind the scenes and up close with many aircraft whilst at the same time enjoying a "Garden Party atmosphere". The event was to raise money for Canine Partners and Flying for Freedom. The new cafe was doing a roaring trade and the roof terrace above it makes a fantastic viewing area. The weather was perfect though a bit windy for the Balloons which sadly had to be deflated. Luckily we got there before they did that. The organisers were totally surprised at the amount of people that turned up and it was judged a roaring success. I took well over 150 photos but won't post them all here! I hope what I've included will give you some idea about what the event looked like. As well as the static aircraft, there were others arriving and departing , the race track had numerous supercars livening up the action , including a parade of Ferraris. The airfield as many of you will know is open to the public on non-event days and the cafe is licensed! Well worth a visit if you're ever in the Chichester area. Anyway , enjoy the photos. Thanks for viewing. Edited May 27, 2019 by dodgy-alan
