Alice Springs, Central Australia - 1921 Briggs 1st Record Flight, Pt. 1 of 2

Recommended Posts

Come redo the1921 record flight of famous Australian aviator, Francis Briggs, using his own words, in his De Havilland DH4 biplane from Melbourne, Victoria, to Alice Springs, the remote, outback, red-centre of Australia. This was the 1st flight ever to Alice Springs. This video is Part 1 of 2. Cheers.

Nicley done Frank, great video and history lesson.

I always enjoy flying old record setting flights and they are so much better when you can read the pilots own words about their flight, not just the flight plan.

Someday maybe we (or our children) will see MSFS switchable sandboxes based on the early 1900's and during WWII, the former for those daring record-breaking flights and the latter for the many heroic missions the allies flew. Can't beat realism in landscapes and airports.

Thanks very much Brett. Your dream would be fantastic in reality.  Cheers.
