Locally we have the Ashley Walk bombing Range where the Dambusters and the Grand Slam bomb were tested, all overgrown now but there is a memorial there. Quote Link to post Share on other sites

It certainly was a daring raid that required a lot of skill and watching them practice on the documentary confirmed it, the raid itself required some darn fine piloting skills.
