Recommended Posts

Come join me in the beaut Spitfire to look at the WW2 Dobodura Airfield Complex, with its 15 airstrips, built by the Americans & Australians in Papua New Guinea during WW2. Learn how the Airfield Complex fitted in to the history of the war when Japan was at the peak of its expansion. Hope you enjoy. Cheers.

Thanks Frank, you never disappoint. Funny, watching the vid I was think how beautiful the mountains and valley's looked but wondered how hot and buggy it probably was and then you mentioned working there and confirmed it.

Yeah, buggy, mosquitoes etc. But worse, giant frogs - as we drove along the new runway at night checking our new runway lighting, all you could hear was squish, squish, squish as we drove over them! Cheers.
