Flying "The Hump" - Burma China India (BCI) WW2 Ops

Recommended Posts

Come see how the Allies, mainly the USA, supplied China to fight the invading Japanese in WW2. The airlift supply route involved hazardous flying over the SE tail-end of the Himalayas, hence the name "The Hump". The job was done but not without significant loss of personnel and aircraft. At the time, it was the largest airlift operation in history. Enjoy not only the history but also the flying and scenery as well. Hope you do enjoy. Cheers.

Thanks Frank, always enjoy seeing anything on the 'Hump' lift. Remember flying it in FSX with the default DC-3 and it wasn't easy getting it to fly over the mountains with a bunch of weight in it, I'm guessing the C-47 had better superchargers in them.

Great images of the airfields and that one with all the planes lined up was impressive.
