Thanks Martyn,

I did mean to mail you a reminder but it's been one of those weekends! Busy, busy, busy!!!

Looking forward to your shots, I am on the brink of re-installing all my software but I'm holding off as I know just how long it will take.

Cheers

Here are the shots, I would love to commentate them all, however its been a very busy day and I am just too shattered.

Brief overview is that I realised how short the runway would be, but only after I was about 10 minutes into the flight! Therefore I decided to dump as much fuel as possible over the sea, on approach, then whack the auto brakes to full and stall it just above the runway numbers. The results are shown below :mrhappy:

After 'arriving' at the destination, I hopped into the schweizer and took the VIPs up to see the monument.

I have to say, it amazes me how well Dell have designed this laptop. At no point did I get stutters during this flight. Having a computer that is capable of this level of graphics, sitting on my lap, still surprises me!

Excellent Martyn,

Well done for getting the memorial in, that's just what we wanted :mrhappy:

Some great shots as ever and with a nice twist at the end.

I am just in mid re-install of FSX in Vista 64bit and having a few problems with the nVidia display driver. Am I right in thinking you are using Vista on your laptop?

Cheers

Yo, Martyn - well stopped, sir!! Good thing that building wasn't bigger, eh? Two Q's: what laptop, and who's the helo-pilot? Nice one, sir!

Cheers - Dai. :mrhappy:

Laptop= Dell XPS M1710

Helo Pilot = All of the pilots/passengers of our aircraft are members of JF. I believe Marc Siegel and Wolfgang are in the Schweizer, as they were the creators of this beauty!

Martyn,

You're going to be a tough act to follow and I won't be able to match it, much less top it. Those are stunning

graphics and very nice photos. Does George Bush know you've borrowed his airplane?

Did you really get the aluminum overcast stopped on that strip? Light or not, and even with a good headwind, that

is an excellent piece of flying. I've resorted to a piston twin to get the baton (...and a quantity of something else)

back out of there.

I'm working on the next leg, but will let you bask in the feedback for a couple of days before following up with

my humble offerings.

Nice work.

John

Forgot to thank everybody for your comments!

Although I think my laptop probably deserves the glory, rather than the idiot controlling it :-)

Did you really get the aluminum overcast stopped on that strip?

I will leave that for you to decide... :yikes:

2 words. Sod That. There is no way i would even try getting a 747 down onto that runway, regardless of the technology inside. Then again, the 747 can be extremely fun to fly when light. (and it must have been light as it didnt sink into the grass)

So credit to you for getting it down in one piece! And more credit to you for posting so many great shots.
