The red barron 41
Well at last I can get on the Pc to post these dam pictures. Dai was supposed to fly home with BA until I told him that if he came with me he would get a ride in my Citation. After a quick discussion he cancelled his flight with BA hopped into my 172 and dicided that he should navigate and I would fly. Great I told him and here is what happened... After getting to the airport around eleven finding Dai and the batton we looked over our route once more and decided to get in the plane and go. Out onto the tarmac to find our little Cessna. Dai got out the map and double cheacked the route while I checked the plane over. satisfied we fired her up and spun it round and got taxi clearance. At this point Dai found it funny to tell me that only 18 gallons would be needed so that was all that went in waiting at the active while an LTU A321 backtracks and we get to go before the 757 while backtracking I did the control test and forgot to retard the engine before I pulled back! Finally up we get to fly the wacky flight plan made by Dai We need to turn right now! Yes Dai I would but your knees are stopping me from turning the yoke. OOppps! Don't fly above 105 knots it says! Dai how much further? were getting low! Only a little more now he tells me, Just another 30 or so miles yet! To the island straight ahead then Dai one at a time I have to remind him again. Dai now really we only have 8 gallons left. According to Dai's charts we should soon start the approach. not long after we start to descend, Traffic! you first! Almost there now Runway! Flaps out. Nearly there now! What are those hangers for asked Dai, Probably old air force ones down at last. I'll move! taxing in you might be a 146 and I may be a 172 but there isn't room for us both. finally we have arrived. Well I hope that you have enjoyed this post and we ended up with 2 gallons left! C&C as ever TRB
