Future destination ideas

Recommended Posts

In ATWC II Saba was on the flight plan to start with, but was later scratched.. I remember this because I had planned to bid for that leg and was a bit surprised to see it gone once the bidding started... ;)

Hi Micke,

Yes you are right, I cannot remember why, I think it was because it was so close to St Marten that really only a return to TNCM could be done.

Now we hare having mini challenges it may feature again, thanks for the feedback.

Thanks Marcel,

I will keep this as a possible location for a future adventure, it's always good to have some "local" knowledge to place that we have never thought of!

The routing of the present challenge will see us in the Caribbean next then up through the USA to Canada then back to our base at Mutley field. (Southampton EGHI)

So, if you or any other pilot has any suggestions for the above then let us know as the exact route is not decided yet.

Thanks for your input,

Joe

If we are taking a roundtrip in europe on the way back take a look at Rossvoll (ENRA) in the northern parts of Norway.

The ILS for runway 32 runs down a fjord, at a heading of 077. With FS Global it's not an easy airport to land at, even in a small propeller plane... not sure what it's like in the default scenery though...

Thanks, Joe. I did mean for a future destination, yes (I noticed the challenge has been to Port Elizabeth already. Bet it was a windy landing). Oh, and I forgot to mention Longyear Airport at Svalbard, seeing as people have mentioned Norway (for a future challenge). For Canada, how about Whitehorse Intl in the Yukon territory? You can even do a leg from Whitehorse to Longyear (2395nm according to the FSX flight planner).

Edit: Thought of some more. Kotoka Intl in Accra, Ghana. Pago Pago Intl, American Samoa. Johnston Atoll, Johnston Island.
