Help For Heroes

Hi Guys,

I am doing a wee bit of fundraising on behalf of my son and his mates in the RAF.

In August they are undertaking a charity car/banger rally in aid of the 'Help the Heroes' Charity.

It is self explanatory and I hope you have the time to take a quick look and maybe find some way of helping him/them raise as much as they can for this very worthy cause. Our guys and girls need every help they can get when they get back from their tours of duty.

Help for Heroes is a charity I am quite familiar with, as my local rugby team Gloucester do a huge amount of fund raising for them. Definitely a worthy cause.

Much appreciated. I must point out that my son phoned today and asked me to correct the title of this thread. I mistakingly put 'Help the Heroes' when, in fact the charity is actually called 'Help forHeroes. Edited

I'm short of cash at the mo, but would be willing to put my silly orange suit on. To pull them out of there cars if the track they use is close enough to me. I don't have facebook, but will get my lass to have a look as she is one of those that use that dodgy site.

Edit: Looking at Paul's facebook page it's a run rather than a banger race. I have not asked the MSA for a letter of authorization to marshal aboard yet, so would not be able to marshal the circuits they will be attending.

Cheers for your support Sputnik. My son is out in Afghan on his 3rd tour at the moment and won't be doing the race/run until August. I wish I could go with him but it's a son team per car and they have their team sorted.( All guys and 1 girl from the RAF).

Hi Guys,

'Banger Run 2010' is now in progress. The guys have set off and are planning to camp this evening in or near Calais.

If you want to follow their progress you can google 'Banger Run 2010'. My sons team have managed to raise around
