Where have I been?

Recommended Posts

I haven't been on here recently, it has been nice to come back to such progress in the ATWC plus some excellent posts in the screenshot forum as per usual! In the mean time I was skiing in Switzerland, and one day was spent heli-skiing!

The object of heli-skiing is to be dropped off at a remote location in a helicopter and ski back down to civilisation. In our case, we were dropped at 4200m on the Alps' second highest mountain, Monte Rosa, and skied about 10km down the Gornergletscher, Europe's second longest glacier. Here are some shots!

What would be our helicopter, heading off to drop some people somewhere.

The pilots are amazing! The choppers come in at a level lower than the pad, then pitch up at the last minute before dropping into the pad. This is our Air Zermatt A
