mutley 4,495
If you use Generation X or JF Real Scenery these trees are a must have. Available in 3 separate volumes that mimic the Gen X regions. Having found a copy of the Ikarus C42 I thought I would recreate my first lesson again. Taking off from a farmstrip Turned east towards my home town Overhead Mutley's Hangar! Heading off in the direction of Portsmouth Look at all those trees Turning back south west Portsmouth and the Spinnaker Tower in the distance. Over Lee on the Solent on our way out. The Ikarus is very basic, runs on automotive gas so if you run short just pop into your local BP station and fill up! I tried to spare you all the water shots so here we are flying inland in the western end of the Isle of Wight Turning towards the Needles Around... ... and back Back to the mainland we're just about to start tracking the river Meon, Meh! no need for the GPS for me! Over the M27 near junction 10 heading towards a distinctive white water tower. Over the water tower we turn west towards home Mutley's just head again centre left, I am searching out a particular clump of trees to fly towards. There they are, you start to descend fast heading for a row of houses and orbit tight left around that small copse just left of centre. (Just as the real world!) Having made the turn we are on final between those two clumps of trees. And down! Slowing up which isn't difficult, the club house is on the left, I feel I need to add some buildings here. All in all the trees are a brilliant addon and I cannot recommend them too highly for Gen X, it could possibly be a bit cpu intensive if run at full density but I had no problems. All unedited shots except re-sizing, HDR plugin used on FSX. Sorry to bore you with that flight .... again! Cheers

mutley 4,495
Cheers Darren, as ever feel free to use any shots, I am going to post them on ES now. Using the scenery "in anger" I was amazed at the accuracy, seeing that small copse of trees on the approach to Lower Upham airfield has now made this strip flyable and has prompted me to try and make some farm buildings and fences for it. Cheers

Soya 7
Great series Joe and I just love how them trees spice up VFR flying cause the scenery on its own is rather bland. Thanks for sharing.
