jankees 917
getting in is not the problem, getting out, now that is tricky... meanwhile, work continues: but look at the stripes on the rear of the fuselage and the tail, they are straight on the texture files... I hate these distortions!
jankees 917
a bit more work, and a new one:

jankees 917
I painted this one a few years ago, but felt there was room for improvement: The only thing that remained the same was the text 'Central Australian' actually...
Captain Coffee 2,030
Nicely done JK, somehow you manage to make tube-liners look interesting!Cheers How do you really feel about tube-liners Joe...don't hold back. I may have to pick this Cpt Sim 727 up at some point. Looks like a beauty for my aussie AH company. The F27 Fokkers have been working well, but OZ is a BIG place, and I bet that 727 would shrink it a bit. Nice work on the paints JK!
Andrew Godden 943
JK, Your work on the TAA repaints is brilliant. I grew up with this airline as my father was an Engineer with TAA when they first introduced the 727 into service. I spend time up close with VH-TBK when it was in maintenance and then had a number of flights on it in its Central Australian livery. One particular flight I spent the entire flight from Brisbane (YBBN) to Townsville (YBTL) in the cockpit. Oh the memories of years and times past. I have the CS 727 and I look forward to when the repaints are finished. Cheers Andrew
hifly 925
Always great paintwork JK. I too have happy memories of flying in 727s, there's something about those early Boeings that are the real deal, they just look the business. @ Matt, I'm surprised you don't have the CS727, If you don't mind not having auto-throttle, FMC, GPS, glass cockpit, then this is a must. Despite the CS 727s age it still looks better than some more recent stuff by other devs. It isn't PMDG procedural but it's a buzz to fly, it was my first CS purchase and I have all their range, it still is my favourite. Getit, you won't regretit.
jankees 917
I have the CS 727 and I look forward to when the repaints are finished. But they are all finished and available? Ah, JK, I see what I did now. I didn't notice the date of the original post and saw the "work in progress" comment from December 2010, and that you only recently updated the 'Central Australian' livery. More red wine please nurse! Cheers Andrew
jankees 917
VH-ANE, a 727-277LR flying with Ansett airlines of Australia. It was bought new by Ansett in 1981. It went to EastWest in 1992, returning to Ansett in 1994. It left Australia for the US in 1997, where it was converted to a freighter. It flew in America and Africa with DHL, and is currently stored in Bahrein as HZ-SNF. link: http://aussiex.org/forum/index.php?/files/file/5659-captain-sim-boeing-727-vh-ane-ansett-airlines/
jankees 917
CB02, one of the two Boeing 727's used by the Belgian Air Force. At the end of 1975 the Belgian Government acquired two Boeing 727-29QC airliners from the national airline company Sabena. Both aircraft were to replace 4 Douglas DC-6B's operational with n° 21 Squadron based at Melsbroek. Although modern for their time both 727 were always somewhat short legged and had to make several refuelling stops to fly to the USA. To overcome this shortcoming both 727's were replaced by two Airbus A310's in 1998.CB02 was originally OO-STD with Sabena, and later became D2-EVD with Sonair of Luanda, Angola. I believe it is still flying with Servis Air, also in Angola.
