Hi Guys

Does anyone know why I can't get nhancer to run on windows 7 x64?

I have tried various releases, it installs fine but just won't run.

Any ideas?

Brian - is it a .net framework 2.0 problem? I remember having to down-load a W7 specific version of '.net'. Apart from that, I too, am in the dark...

Try un-installing and re-install using run as administrator?

Must admit I had problems with the setup, stopped using it for the time being.

Why is this important: Because only the 2.60 version of nhancer supports the latest GeForce drivers (250+)

Yes, nHancer can be a minefield. You have to amtch it up with the correct drivers and versions.

I sometimes think it's more trouble than it's worth, and just set stuff up in the nVida CP.

The only real benefit of nHancer is where you have apps that support normal AA or AF, and you have to "force" it.

As Mutley intonates above... for FSX/FS9, you are just adding yet another layer of complexity and frustration by using it.

Unfortunately I am a compulsive tinkerer Gabe, much to my own frustration sometimes. So downloading 260.99 drivers from Nvidia and the inspector.

Ok, all done and it's looking good.

As we now know, best chuck nHancer out the window!

Install latest nVidia 64bit driver 260.99

Install and run Nvidia inspector and make the amendments suggested by Nick in the Simforums post (Links in Ray's post)

Just taken these, unedited but I do have the HDR plugin running.

Looks ok to me.. Endorsed by Mutley!!!

Hi Brian,

No problems here, W7-74Bit.

nHancer will not yet work with the latest driver offerings by nVidia. It's best to revert to the old (and, in my opinion) better 190.0 drivers.

Hi Guys,

Thanks to you all for the plethora of ideas and opinions. I was only installing nhancer as Nick mentioned it in his optimization posts.

Had it before I reformatted but since new drivers installed, it won't run.

I will have a try at some of your suggestions.

I think it's a front-end for setting up nVidia graphics cards.

You are right John,

No need to go into the nVidia Control Panel any more, this is just a utility to set up things like hardware AA so you don't have to set it in the sim. Just like nhancer did but with a much simpler interface.
