It is the autogyro as designed and built by Juan de la Cuerva. This magical machine appears in Alfred Hitchcock's 1935 film "The 39 Steps" - I found an old video-tape version and was tickled to find that the autogyro had been included. Some film buffs say that this is the 'secret weapon' that the spies are trying to smuggle out of the country.
