ddavid 149
Excellent, Andrew - but how about this... Electric, but not bad, eh? Cheers - Dai.
simmerhead 0
Not something I'd listen to, but if technical skill is the only important factor when judging a player then I'd root for this performer:
mutley 4,498
:icon_welcomeani: to Mutleys simmerhead. That is a great piece guitar work, there's noway I could play like that with my sausage fingers!

Aircraft Aviation 2
I am a Bassist/Drummer/Guitarist... And they aren't easy skills to master. All three of the people above have mastered their skill. Interstingly though, I do sometimes use a technique seen in video 1 (slapping) when I want to combine drumming and guitar on one instrument (yes, I know it sounds crazy, but it sounds fantastic!). stu7708 244
While the three examples above are stunning I'm not that impressed. The first guy I feel has fallen into the trap of over doing it. It just gets to point where he tries to put as much stuff in the piece that you get overwhelmed.. and the second guy does master the arts of using effects (overdrive and delay mainly) but he suffers a bit from the same problem. The last video was to me most impressive, but I agree with simmerhead that it's not a kind of music I really like listening to. With all that said I have to contribute with someone I really admire as a guitarist. In my mind a discussion on great guitarist can't be complete without Stevie Ray Vaughan. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mZkLVinwR4E Sadly he left us way to young, and suitably for this forum in a helicopter accident.. While his playing here isn't as fast and extravagant as the two first videos he did master the art of playing what was necessary for the song at hand, and knew when to keep it simple, and that's a skill not to be look down on.
