wisemanp 0
This was found in a cutting taken from 'La hora de Quito', an Ecuadorian newspaper, and has been roughly translated into English : "due to the high altitude of Quito causing high fatigue levels, the pilot of flight ATWC53 was found this morning having overslept by several hours, and when he arrived at the airport he realised that he had missed his slot by a long way. Due to unusualy high traffic levels at Quito Airport this summer, likely to be caused by the recent rise in low-cost air travel, this special flight has been delayed until later this afternoon. The pilot would like to make a personal apology for any inconveniance caused...'

wisemanp 0
Well, here we go! Today we'll be flying in the Tame (Línea Aérea del Ecuador) F28. here it is seen with other aircraft waiting at the gate. Pushing back and starting engines Getting ready All systems checked and ready to go I used every inch of the runway as it is so high up the air is SO thin! Unfortunately the flight video didn't work so no immediate takeoff shots :sadblinky: The high Andean plateau What she looks like from underneath :mrhappy: Levelled off-not too high as we're not going too far and there's no bad weather forecast. Well there are some clouds around, maybe we'll have to climb Passengers have a nice veiw Some nice cloud effects Sun is nearly down Last glow on the clouds Turning in towards Bogota It's very dark here... the moon is just gettin up The ILS is kicking in. Nice and clear so I'm doing it manually from now on Touchdown Didn't use up as much of this runway! Parked up and shutting down Thanks for flying on board ATWC 53 with TAME, the baton is now ready to be taken further!
