MarkJones 0
Just some shots that I thought I would share of this amazing aeroplane. I've hardly flown anything else since it was released... Quieter, smoother, faster... Thanks for looking! :001_th_smiles89: This is really the perfect aeroplane, with those massively powerful turbines and reverse thrust you can get in and out of airfields that a piston Duke wouldn't dream of. Sustained climb rates of 4,000 fpm make getting up above the weather a doodle or you can choose to lower the nose a bit for impressive high speed cruise-climbs. I fly everywhere at 280kts, ok I'm burning quite a bit of fuel but it's far cheaper then Avgas
mutley 4,498
Lovely shots Mark, I am writing a review on this little beauty, I just love those turbines! Is the Reality XP plugin worth it? I am using the default GPS. Cheers, Joe
MarkJones 0
I personally wouldn't go without them. I have them fitted into most of my other GA aircraft where possible. They look a lot better in this as RealAir have modelled all the knobs ect in 3d. It takes a bit of time inputting the flight plans ( I'm too cheap to buy the pro pack with cross fill) but it effectively functions the same as the real units. The database is a few years old but I've yet to find any missing waypoints. I'd love it if RealAir were to integrate RXP's weather radar in there too! Addendum. Did you now the guys who convert these Dukes, Rocket Engineering, are currently in the process of getting their latest turbine conversion certified? It's a B58P Baron and it looks to be more of a hot ship then this with climb rates of 4600 fpm and similar cruise speeds!
mutley 4,498
Wow! the Turbine Baron, another RA release! I notice that RealAir don't mention the Royal Turbine Duke or Rocket Engineering in their manuals, I guess it's a copyright thing.
MarkJones 0
Probably. I'd go with the Duke anyway for the way it looks. It's hard to believe that the youngest Dukes are nearly 30 years old...

pacinka 0
Fantastic shots! May I ask if you are using a weather generator? The weather conditions look very realistic.
MarkJones 0
That would be Real Environment Xtreame HD with it's own weather engine. Probably the best add-on for FSX. She might be an excellent stable IFR cruiser but she can dance too. I've just been chucking her around at low level down some fjords and valleys with Faster by Within Temptation playing through the speakers.... :icon_rockon:
stu7708 244
Great shots Mark. I was half expecting it to be some Duke Nukem screenshots, but these were better :th_smiles73:
