hurricanemk1c 195
Hi all! Here's part 2 of 4 Fairford piccies - this takes us up to the Solo Hawk display by Juliette Fleming - very nice display! So, here we start with a Royal Air Force of Oman C-130 : A Saudi Hawk gets very wet before the weather cleared up : The Red Devils get a cooling down : A line of Hunters The Vulcan peers out of the gloom The Meteor T7 (sorry about the slight blurry bit - water on the lens) A Tiger now teaches the Austrain Air Force in a Saab 105OE! A Tiger F-16 : A Luftwaffe A310-304 MRTT : Lens cleared, the Tiger Luftwaffe Torando makes it's mark : A French Mirage 2000C A Swedish Saab Gripen (39825) A helicopter-thingy Now I know this one - it's a Lancaster! Royal Netherlands Air Force Apache An A330 tail with a C-17 An A-10 doing engine runs Some stuff over there (F-16x2 and Rafalex2) The C-27J with a Tornado and a Rafale Nose of Voyager - not a Virgin one I hope! (Unless you're into railways in the UK, you won't understand it!) The C-17 The nose of the C-17 Tucano named 'City of Leeds' Tornados and a sneaky Tyhoon in the flightline Juliette's Hawk Right, that's it for today - I hope you enjoyed looking through them! Cheers! stu7708 244
Great shots Kieran, but that weather looked awful... I would have hesitated to take the camera out of the bag
hurricanemk1c 195
@Stu - I've never seen some of these aircraft so close eg. KC-135 from the last set and F-16's in this - so that's the reason why the camera came out! Thanks for the comments!
allardjd 1,853
Where do all the Hunters come from? I thought that AC was long out of service and am surprised to see so many. Privately owned ex-military jets are not unheard of here but are seldom seen in large numbers, let alone several of one type. Good photos and good commentary - keep 'em coming. hurricanemk1c 195
Hi John! The Hunters came from various places. ZZ190/191 is from www.hunterteam.com, who use them for radar trials etc. Some of the other's came from Team Viper, supported by the Swiss Hunter Team and Miss Demeanour (a fully private, on it's own Hunter) Hope this helps!
